It is a beautiful high mountain pass located in the pre-Pyrenees. It is a bearable and constant pass for its 2 slopes, the Sant Llorenç de Morunys slope being somewhat harder. There is tranquility and traffic is practically non-existent. The road is narrow and the asphalt is very rough and worn, which adds harshness to the port. I recommend the alternative of reaching the cross-country ski resort of La Vansa, about 5 km above Coll de Port. If you go up from Sant Llorenç de Morunys, just under 4 km to the top, there is a road that takes you directly to the Port del Compte station... after some hard ramps. If you want a detail of the altimetry, I recommend the one that Ramacabici drew: http://www.ramacabici.com/altimetrias/lavansa01.htm

The magnificent views from the viewpoint alone are worth going up here. Also, the road is spectacular.

Between Solsona and Navès begins the hard gate of the Sierra de Busa with 14.4km long and 750m of positive difference in altitude. We will find maximum slopes of up to 17% and an average slope of 5.2% thanks to two long breaks that we will find halfway up the climb. It should be noted that km 11 is done at 9.6% and the last 400m have an average gradient of 11.7%. A demanding terrain that rewards you as soon as you reach the top where you can enjoy exceptional views of Solsonès and Bages, drawing Montserrat on the horizon. The Pla de Busa is located at 1372m.

Nice place to rest at the top of the moutian, with meadows and nice views. Also good to spend a night under the stars.

On this great tarmac road, enjoy the descent into the town of Sant Llorenç de Morunys, down the zig-zagging switchbacks with the mountain backdrop. You'll see the reservoir Pantà de la Llosa del Cavall at the bottom of the valley, next to the town as you descend this incredible road.
