The bellflower and meadow pansy delight with their colorful spots almost all summer long. The critically endangered mountain monk grows on the shelves of the cliff. It blooms in late summer and is easy to recognize by its hemispherical blue inflorescences. Cottongrass and liverwort are important food plants for butterflies - including the larvae of the endangered rock bluewing found on Rautvuori.
