Extremely well-organized hut operation, which, however, lacks the special charm of an alpine hut. After the rebuild everything was in tip top order and the hut operators were very charismatic.

Lindauer Hütte, HOSPITALITY SINCE 1899 1898: Hooray, a home in the Gauerthale 1899: Planning & construction 1899: Official purchase for 5 guilders 1899: The first innkeeper 1900: Extension, paths & water 1909: Construction of the (old) dormitory 2008: The historic main building gets an additional floor. 2016: In record time, the old dormitories are rebuilt and the staff house is renovated while the facility is still in operation. Beautiful hut with very friendly staff in a wonderful marmot area. You can watch the cute little animals all day long from the terrace. Everything we ate there was delicious and the breakfast buffet is extremely extensive. In addition to the standard fare like bread with sausage, cheese or sweet spreads, there were also specials like Montafoner Sura Kees and scrambled eggs, which was an unexpected little highlight.
