The waterfall starts even higher and is said to be over 1,000 m high. Legend says: Long ago, a rich man fell in love with a young girl from humble beginnings. The girl's father opposed any relationship between the two lovers. Despite his prohibition, they decided to marry. Enraged, the bride's father entered the church where the ceremony was taking place. Armed with a saber, he intended to kill this unacceptable son-in-law. The couple managed to escape into the valley, but the bride slipped and fell from the mountain. Her veil caught on the wall, giving the Bridal Veil Waterfall its name.

Most of the ways to the popular Trou de Fer with its waterfalls lead over wide forest roads. Here, however, there is a narrow path through the lush jungle-like forest, for which a footbridge was specially built.
