The idyllic Voralpsee is located at 1,123 meters above sea level in Grabs in the canton of St. Gallen. Nestled in a hollow on the Grabserberg, amidst alpine meadows and forests, this natural lake is located between the Alvier region and the Churfirsten mountains. At just under 550 meters long and 250 meters wide, the Voralpsee is rather elongated. Its depth is up to 12 meters. The Voralpsee can be comfortably circumnavigated on a beautiful walking path. Due to its easy accessibility, the lake has become a popular destination for many lake lovers: hikers, walkers, barbecue-loving families, bikers, and mountain lake swimmers visit the lake in large numbers during the warmer months. Wangsersee, Pizol at 2205 meters above sea level The Wangsersee is located in the St. Gallen communities of Bad Ragaz and Vilters-Wangs. The small mountain lake is not far from the mountain station of the Pizolbahnen or the Pizolhütte at an altitude of 2205 meters above sea level. The Valaisbach flows down the valley from the Wangsersee. On the shores of the lake you have a magnificent view of the mountains in the Pizol area. The Wangsersee is one of the many crystal-clear and impressive mountain lakes in the Pizol. It is located not far from the Pizolhütte mountain restaurant, where you can enjoy excellent food.
