La Central Hidroeléctrica de Serinyà se sitúa junto a la resclosa construida sobre el río Ser, y funciona ininterrumpidamente desde 1935, aprovechando el desnivel de este curso de agua antes de que sus aguas desemboquen en el Fluvià. Su presencia constituye un testimonio del pasado industrial de la comarca.

The square has been used by a restaurant with a terrace facing the ski jump since the 1920s. This restaurant offers traditional Empordà cuisine. The whole area, very close to the Muga, is flanked by numerous riverbank trees (alders, poplars, ...), there are also fountains (Fontetes fountain and La Caula fountain) and numerous corners to stroll and enjoy.
