We were there twice - in mid-May - and each time we saw a large number of inhabited nests - a wonderful experience!!

Nice walk, thank you! However, the restaurant 'La Caula' has been officially closed for several months. With a bit of luck, the village café in Les Escaules will be open, so you can also order something to eat there.

Also called the lever, because there is a lever or walkway parallel to the iron bridge to get there. Located in a corner of the esplanade with some benches that invite you to relax, especially in summer because of the good shade. The fountain features the head of a lion (possibly bronze) and in its mouth is the tap.

In this natural space there is a dam at the height of the town of Espolla. There is always water.

The square has been used by a restaurant with a terrace facing the ski jump since the 1920s. This restaurant offers traditional Empordà cuisine. The whole area, very close to the Muga, is flanked by numerous riverbank trees (alders, poplars, ...), there are also fountains (Fontetes fountain and La Caula fountain) and numerous corners to stroll and enjoy.

Pure nature! Nice to stop and just enjoy nature.
