Aísa is an Aragonese municipality located in the region of La Jacetania (Huesca). It belongs to the judicial district of Jaca. The towns of Candanchú, Esposa and Sinués are also part of its municipal area.4​ The Candanchú ski resort should also be highlighted. At the beginning of 2011, the town of Aísa had a population of 159 inhabitants.

This small mountain pass is barely three kilometers from the town of Borau, with numerous ramps above 10%. From Jaca, however, almost 12 kilometers are traveled to reach it, although the hard ramps do not appear at the port until the last two kilometers.

The Peña Collarada, with its 2,883 m altitude, draws attention from a distance due to its characteristic shape that stands out among the other peaks around it. Underneath pass multiple tunnels of the railway that reaches Canfranc from Zaragoza.

Although the track and the path up to Grosín seem to end here, there are still a couple of kilometers to reach the top of Pico Grosín: first by another stretch of track and finally by a more demanding path between brambles and blackthorns. It is there where we will find the geodesic vertex.

Getting to the shelter is the real end

The last three kilometers of the climb to the Lizara refuge have it all: steep slopes, hairpin bends, impressive views of the Pyrenees and Canadian passes where you have to go carefully (especially going down). You will find several successive ramps of 11% so save your strength... and try to enjoy the views to the fullest in each section.
