After a steep climb, you can see masses of puffins in the evening during the breeding season

During the breeding season, most birds can be seen in the last 2 hours before sunset.

Here you can easily observe the puffins from the steep ridge.

Many gannets and other birds nest here on the rocks. Don't forget your binoculars on the hike!

From here you have a good view of the gannet colony.

Be careful, the descent into the cave is very muddy and not without danger. There is a risk of falling in several places in the cave. No safety devices in the cave, only descent and climbing aids in the form of muddy ropes. Lighting essential. Very slippery also at the climbing points. Entering the cave is therefore only recommended after critical consideration.

The puffins are the safest to see in the late afternoon or better in the evening. During the day they are at sea, met two visitors who were back in the evening as they had not seen any puffins during the day. They don't shy away from people and sit and fly right in front of you, an absolute highlight to see these animals. Skuas were also seen very close and if you are lucky (like us) you can also watch the white-tailed eagles.
