The Orrido di Sant'Anna is a deep gorge carved out by the Cannobino torrent, not far from Cannobio. With its sheer rock walls and crystal-clear waters, it is an ideal destination on hot summer days, when many visitors stop to swim or explore the scenic paths that run alongside it. Nearby is a small church dedicated to Sant'Anna, dating back to the 17th century.

The Mediterranean climate allows flora and fauna to flourish

Just above the town of Borgnone at the beginning of the "market path", the mule track that once led to the Locarno market and was an important connection between the Locarno area and the Vigezzo Valley. There are interesting testimonies of the rural world including the ruins of some mills and a bread oven (1884).

Sant'Anna is a fraction of Cannobio, famous for its ravine. In addition to the gorges, there is also a beautiful medieval bridge, an important church and a small beach on the banks of the Cannobino river.
