Snowy peak on a snow desert. That's how you could describe the summit of the Vincent Pyramid. Although quite unspectacular, the climb up the ridge rock from the south was quite challenging. A strenuous undertaking that was rewarded at the top with a fantastic view of the Schwarzhorn and everything behind and around it.

The Corno Nero can be ascended starting from the Lys pass. The greatest difficulty is to overcome the terminal snowy summit. It is located along the crest that descends from the Ludwigshöhe towards the Vincent Pyramid and Giordani Point. Such ridges separate the upper Lys valley from the upper Valsesia. It is a rocky spur with a very characteristic shape. Only on the northern slope can you reach almost the top through a snowy tongue. On the top there is a statue of the Virgin Mary.
