Really little car traffic for a main street

This winding and quiet stretch of road between San Giovanni and Galdo offers an incredible panorama of the valley and the Velino gulf, Mount Gelbison and part of the Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park.

I was only there for one day in Acciaroli but it was enough for me to understand that this charming fishing village is certainly an excellent tourist destination for spending your holidays. In fact, for many years Acciaroli has obtained the "5 sails" of Legambiente and the Blue Flag for the quality of its waters and the beauty of the beaches.

On the summit of Monte Gelbison at 1705 m asl is the sanctuary of the Madonna del Monte Sacro, a destination for pilgrimages and devotions. From here you can enjoy a spectacular panorama, and the path to get there is almost entirely in the shade in the woods, therefore suitable even on the hottest days.
