Bivio Italia, located at the top of Val Galmarara, is a crossroads of high mountain roads (formerly military), from which a suggestive view opens onto Cima XII and the desolate karst environment that surrounds it, with vegetation consisting almost exclusively of mountain pines. This traverse from Passo Cinque Croci to Forcella Magna is not very feasible on MTB, but the places are fantastic with emerald colored alpine lakes. The crossing also deserves to be done to reach Forcella Magna, where an exciting trail begins with technical passages but still suitable for cycling and then with increasingly smooth and exciting terrain.

Rest area with a great view

Bivio Italia is always a nice place to reach: we are in the heart of the plateau. You can continue towards Ortigara, towards Monte Forno or in the opposite direction towards Malga Galmarara; in any case there are always excellent mule tracks that allow us to complete magnificent tours.
