Grotte Verde is one of the many caves in Salento that is absolutely not to be missed. It is close to Marina di Andrano in the La Botte area and the cave is accessed following a rocky descent. To get to the cave you have to swim there and the reflection of the sun makes the walls and water green.

Included in the Salento Parco dei Paduli collection komoot.com/it-it/collection/2053951/-il-parco-dei-paduli - The menhir (40 cm x 33 cm) has a regular parallelepiped shape and is 390 cm high. Historian Palumbo believes it has been moved from its original location. Crosses are engraved on the faces, a sign of the Christianisation of the monument. In Marina di Marittima there is the characteristic Acquaviva inlet, so called due to the presence of numerous springs of fresh spring water. The scenery you admire is almost wild.

Beautiful cliff that hides the famous green cave. 🥰
