Rovinj is a port town on the west coast of the Istrian peninsula in Croatia. The old town, whose houses are densely packed along the water, is located on a promontory. Narrow streets lead to the hilltop Church of St. Euphemia, whose tall spire dominates the townscape and is a popular photo subject. South of the old town is Lone Bay, one of the region's numerous pebble beaches. Directly off the mainland lie the 14 islands of the Rovinj archipelago.

Just looking at the turquoise water here on the coast is like a painting. These stone men add another touch of art.

Park Forest Zlatni rt - Golden Cape The park forest Zlatni rt (Punta corrente) is one of the most interesting natural attractions of Rovinj. Georg Hütterott bought towards the end of the XIX. Century on the Rovinj coast four islands (St. Andrew, Maškin, Šturag and St. Ivan). In what is now the area of the Golden Cape, he began planting various plants on an area of 90 hectares with the aim of establishing a climatic health resort. Due to his untimely death, the project was not completed, but the idea persisted. At the same time, this also marked the beginning of organized tourism. Because the peculiarity of the Golden Cape was recognized, the forest park was declared a nature reserve in 1961.
