A little off the main path, not far from the parking lot, stands this approximately 490 year old oak tree.

The forest around the Ihlower Forst is very beautiful to hike through. A stop at the monastery café is worthwhile ☕🍪

Beautiful, quiet forest. Some paths off the main paths can be muddy, so good footwear is useful. From the car park you can reach the monastery site via a short route. The parking lot is large enough and well signposted.
