Beautiful tour, nice little pond with water lilies. Unfortunately some of the trails are only for horse riders and therefore not rideable.

This inconspicuous pond has a deep foundation - below are the remains of the partially filled main art shaft "Gerhard", which also served as the weather chamber for the Centrum pit. The term "art" goes back to the "art of the Jülich gentlemen" with which water drainage in deep mining was possible - therefore often simply referred to as "gentlemen's art". In the beginning, live horsepower was used to operate the pumps, but later these were replaced by powerful steam engines. A beautiful pond to look at - a few benches invite you to take a long rest.
