Four Hills Tournament (Men): The traditional opening of the Four Hills Tournament will take place from December 28th to 29th, 2025, in the ORLEN Arena Oberstdorf.

Insider tips for Oberstdorf include a ride on a mountain scooter in the Oytal valley, a hike to the idyllic mountain village of Gerstruben, a visit to the Sennalpe Eschbach mountain farm for cheese and ice cream, exploring the Breitachklamm gorge or a tour through the Christlesee lake.

The St. Anne Chapel in Rohrmoos was built in 1568 by Count Jakob von Waldburg and his wife. Since 1500, Rohrmoos and the entire valley have belonged to the counts, later princes, of Waldburg. The chapel is still completely original, and the beautiful murals date from the year of its construction. In addition to the Last Judgment (above the entrance door, difficult to see), you can see figures of apostles and saints, stories of Saint Anne, and a winged altar. Above it is the large coat of arms of the Waldburg family.

The bus service runs to the Auenhütte, from where you can hike. You may want to head into the Schwarzwassertal valley or toward Hoher Ifen.

The artificial lake looks nicely integrated into the landscape.

The Melköde Alpe, at 1,346 m, is a mountain pasture with a refreshment stop. The Schwarzwassertal valley runs with a relatively flat gradient from the bottom up to this point and then begins to climb steeply towards the Schwarzwasserhütte.
