A great place to go if you want good food or drinks. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. The building itself is also a feast for the eyes.

The bus service runs to the Auenhütte, from where you can hike. You may want to head into the Schwarzwassertal valley or toward Hoher Ifen.

The Melköde Alpe, at 1,346 m, is a mountain pasture with a refreshment stop. The Schwarzwassertal valley runs with a relatively flat gradient from the bottom up to this point and then begins to climb steeply towards the Schwarzwasserhütte.
