Climate protection through rewetted peatlands. This keeps CO₂ and nitrous oxide contained within the peatland. Drained peatlands, on the other hand, emit these gases.

From the small observation tower you have an even better view over the moor than you already have.

Take the Moorbahn to the Moorpad. Then walking the pad or other paths through the moor always gives interesting insights into the moor.

The second observation tower on the Neustädter Moor. Quiet area with lots of new garden benches next to the tower. The old train lines are still there. On many bogs peat is transported with such small trains.

This observation tower can be found at the beginning of the Neustädter Moor. The way is well signposted. The environment is very quiet and beautiful. It is a wooden tower with some etajets. From the top you can enjoy the great view of the moor.

The massive, multi-level observation tower is worth seeing in its own right. At least on the top platform it provides a very sheltered, grand view of the ancient moorland. In midsummer, however, you should have less hope for significant bird watching, as spring and autumn are the main seasons here. Nevertheless, the easy way here is worthwhile because of the extraordinary view.

Great view over the Neutstädter Moor

There's always something to see here: geese, cranes, marsh harriers, and peregrine falcons – deer were also present today. Thanks to the multi-level structure, even when it's a bit crowded, there's still a nice spot for observing nature.
