A beautiful place with great views of the surrounding mountains.

It's astonishing how icy the air blows out of the cave. The temperature difference when you stand there in the sun is incredible. You can immediately sense that a path leads deep and far into the cave.

The Ali Springs are located just under 3 kilometers from the center of Gusinje. There's a restaurant right next to the springs. A beautiful, very easy circular trail offers a short hike past the springs, along a huge climbing rock, and past several camps.

Not a steep summit, but a rounded knoll at the end of a grassy ridge, yet offering the most beautiful view of the peaks of the Prokletije Mountains! In the center: Kollata (2552 m).

The highest peak in Montenegro. When you're there, you can really enjoy the view and the nature. In my case, there weren't many people on the way and it was quiet. I don't find the route strenuous. Only the last hour requires a bit of climbing and walking on steep rocks. In wet weather, there are places that could be slippery and dangerous.

When you walk past, you can feel the cold coming from the cave. You can go in, but you'll need light soon. I couldn't tell how deep the cave was because I didn't have my headlamp with me and I only went in a little bit. The temperature contrast is pretty stark. Without a jacket, it quickly becomes uncomfortable inside.
