From the parking lot, we first walked through a forest and then along the turquoise-blue Mrtvica River. The path led through an enchanted forest with mosses and lichens hanging from the trees. This is also where the Gate of Wishes is located. The path continued with stunning views into the canyon. At the end was the most exciting section: A 200-meter-long rock tunnel had been blasted into the rock face by Yugoslav soldiers. So...it's definitely worth it 👍

You can't see the Gate of Desires directly from the path. Follow the sign down; it's not far; it's worth it.

The cave and spring are an important part of the groundwater supply for the people in the surrounding settlements. Local people ask that people not swim here and that they treat the spring responsibly.

Nice view of a part of the lake... The last time I was there, there was still water here, but currently there is more and more drought here, which leads to a reduction in the water level

Not worth it. You walk 90% through forest next to river that you don't see. Was disappointing

Biogradsko Jezero forms the center and starting point of Biogradska Gora National Park, but this stretches far far behind and up the ridges!

A short hike up from the path to the Lica ridge and there is a great view of the Biogradska valley with its rocky slopes. A path also runs over the ridge here.
