A prominent summit in Femunden National Park, Elgåhogna is a great objective for an adventurous run. The run can be started from Dalset, by the main road.

Medium difficulty. Mountain boots recommended, as there are quite much loose rocks on the way. The roundtrip is approx 3 hrs from the parking at fv 27. A couple of steep paths, but climbing is not necessary.

Mount Elgåhogna is located at 1460 metres above sea level. From the summit there is a beautiful view of the lakes below.

Between the road and the river, at the junction to Grimsdalshytta, there is a free campsite with toilet and seating. A water tap is not available. Impressive place where several hiking trails cross.
