Charming mountain hut in the Maderanertal at 2032 m altitude.

The Windgällenhütte, located at 2,032 m in the picturesque Maderanertal, offers 60 beds in nine bright rooms, each with 4-15 beds equipped with Nordic blankets and pillows. The facility is open from the beginning of June to mid-October, while in the winter period there is a winter room with 8 beds, accessible by telephone reservation. From Biel-Kinzig, the path marked blue and white leads up over the Rossstocklücke, which requires a head for heights and sure-footedness. The summit can be reached via easy paths from Riemenstalden ... either way it is a very worthwhile panoramic summit with a wonderful panorama 😍. Since it can be visited from several sides, it is usually well attended and in winter even with snowshoes or skis.
