In Belorado. I don't usually choose a hostel as a highlight, but I can recommend this one unconditionally. And so close to the center. The owner is called Joaquin. Like me.

Chozo Resineros The resin workers' shelters (also called chere in these countries) were simple structures that they had to use to protect themselves from summer storms and as a place to rest. Sometimes they served to burn some of the tools typical of the craft. The surface of the pine forest that each resin producer cultivated was called “Mata”. The general rule was to build a hut for each “mata,” almost always in the shade of a tall pine tree. The construction was as simple as it was effective, using only sticks and pine needles accumulated over years

Every year the little asphalt that remains is worse than the previous one. Large areas of dirt, gravel and potholes. Very dangerous descent.

Laguna de la Cascada is part of the set of small lagoons of glacial origin of Lagunas de Neila, within the Natural Park of the Lagunas Glaciares de Neila. In the vicinity of the lagoon there is an information panel with interesting data on the flora and fauna.

Small 20th century hermitage built in honor of San Cristóbal. The temple offers a spiritual refuge in the midst of an impressive natural environment. With a simple architecture, the hermitage offers impressive views of the valley from this hill located at an altitude of 1,185 meters. The space also has a fire watch tower.

At this height there is a watchtower that is able to monitor the set of mountains in the area. In addition, close to it, we find a hermitage and a shelter where it is open during the coldest nights.
