The history of this town goes back to Roman times and there remains a cave where the hermit San Capracio used to stay. during the Middle Ages it was an important frontier town of the Kingdom of Castile.
The town is sheltered by a high rock wall. The center is located around the Plaza Mayor with the San Pedro church. A second church is located half in the rock wall with one of the albergues.

In Belorado. I don't usually choose a hostel as a highlight, but I can recommend this one unconditionally. And so close to the center. The owner is called Joaquin. Like me.
