From the path along Harge Uddar, Lake Vättern extends into the distance, its calm waters meeting the sky. The rocky cliffs slope down to the shoreline, where waves break gently against the stone. Pine trees grow along the edge, and the open lake gives a clear view toward the horizon.

The rest area is in an exciting location. The Göta Canal and the lake are very close to each other. However, the canal is higher than the water level of the lake.

It's also a nice route by bike

Nice bathing opportunity on our Sweden bike tour. But you swim in the lake. So the location is only partially correct.

Here you can sit and relax on the benches or use the extensive lawns to lie down and let your gaze wander into the distance.
