If you don't necessarily want to go to Linköping, you should definitely go around Roxen to the north. A very nice route!

Long piece of dreamy road with little traffic along the Roxen See. Asphalt is good, it rolls along smoothly. Every now and then you have beautiful views of the lake and the surrounding area.

This building is on the small island. I suspect that there are some boat events taking place here. I find it interesting how it was built.

Small ferry boats go from here to neighboring islands. So also after Herstena.

Just before you get to this port there is an unpaved road on the right: Tyrislöts Sommatlanthandel. There is a small café by the harbor and a kayak rental.
