Mora lies at the heart of Dalarna, on the shores of Lake Siljan and along the Österdalälven river. It’s world-famous as the finish line of the Vasaloppet, and in summer runners can follow parts of the same historic trail. From lakeside paths to forest tracks, the area offers varied terrain and the unique atmosphere of Sweden’s most iconic endurance event.

Here you can go fishing (for a fee of 350 SEK for 24 hours) and at the same time camp cheaply with or without electricity. Tent should also be possible, just ask (telephone number is at the entrance). Quiet place to switch off and relax, there is also a bathing beach.
