Very beautiful and photogenic lakes in a high valley, accessible only by long hikes/climbing. Therefore, they are not as crowded as the reservoir in the valley below. You'll often need your hands on the descent from the eponymous peak, Pic d'Étang Fourcat.

The Pla de Soulcem dam is in no way a natural high-altitude pond. It was built in the early 80s. The construction of this dam drowned a vast plateau (called Pla) historically devoted to pastoralism. One of the positive aspects of this human achievement is the construction of the road which has opened up this high valley. We even considered going directly to the Principality of Andorra. Currently, the project of a summer tourist route is frozen.
