The second half of the climb is paved, but accessing this path requires a long push uphill section – no problem for mountain bikes or gravel bikes, but a complete no-go for road bikes. The summit of Puig Tomir (1,104 m) is misleading, when it seems that the path is about to reach the highest point of the mountain, it begins to slope to the left towards the apex of the summit. The views make up for any emotional disturbance. The Puig Tomir is a fantastic balcony in the northeast corner of Mallorca. The steep ridge of Cap de Formentor points straight towards the distant island of Menorca, which appears on the Mediterranean horizon on clear days. To your right is the arch of the bay of Pollença and behind it the bay of Alcudia, a unique and incomparable coastal landscape.
