The Fuhrtsbachtal and the Perlenbachtal are very nice to hike through. Plenty of places to rest and you always have the gentle splashing of the streams as your companion

The Bayehon Waterfall is a roughly nine-meter-high waterfall near the Belgian village of Longfaye, situated at an altitude of approximately 510 meters. Fed by the Ruisseau de Bayehon stream, it lies within a deep, wooded gorge crisscrossed by attractive hiking trails. The waterfall is also easily accessible via the nearby Moulin de Bayehon watermill, making it particularly appealing to families, as parking is available and the mill offers friendly service. The Bayehon Waterfall is considered the highlight of the gorge and provides numerous picturesque photo opportunities.

The Perlenbach and Fuhrtsbachtal valleys near Monschau-Höfen are known nationwide, especially for their daffodil blossoms, which then attract a large number of - sometimes perhaps too many (?) - visitors in a few weeks. But also unreservedly recommended as a hiking area for the rest of the year.

How wild the Rur can be at high tide. Definitely a brilliant natural spectacle

In its headwaters in the High Fens, the Rur is inconspicuous and tame. It's wild and untamed down here, especially in late winter after the snow has melted.

In spring, the ground here is littered with wild daffodils. Now in May there is a smell of wild garlic everywhere.
