Alpe Nivoiaj, located at about 1,380 meters above sea level, is a historic mountain pasture near the hamlet of Campidaglio, in the municipality of Pont Canavese. Starting from Campidaglio, it is located shortly after Alpe di Pian Russa. The map shows the presence of a water source, but in March it was not operational. Perhaps it is in the warmer months. The part of the trail that continues from here to the intersection with the trail coming from Frachiamo is exposed to the North West, so it is reasonable to expect residual snow if it is winter or early spring. Refuge closed from spring 2022, the final climb is about 3 km long for an AVERAGE gradient of 11%. The road is in poor condition in a couple of places, but it's more of a nuisance on the downhill. Asphalt up to the refuge, then it continues as a dirt road up to go down to Rueglio
