Alpe di Pian Russa is a mountain pasture located at about 1,332 meters above sea level near the hamlet of Campidaglio, in the municipality of Pont Canavese.
This mountain pasture represents a significant stop along the hiking trail that leads to Punta Arbella (1,879 m), a panoramic peak that offers spectacular views of the Soana and Orco valleys, as well as the main peaks of Piedmont and Aosta Valley.
If you follow this trail in the winter or early spring season, you will most likely still encounter a good amount of snow in the section after Alpe Nivolaj up to the intersection with the trail that comes from Frachiamo.
