One of the most beautiful passages in the "Green Hell." You have the choice of continuing on the left or going right. We went back again to do both routes.

Narrow paths between the rocks and great passages, trees and rocks covered in moss, rightly give the tour its name "Green Hell".

Route 45

The menhir stands northwest of Ferschweiler in the forest at a crossroads of hiking trails. The Fraubillenkreuz is a menhir that is now about 3.30 meters high and has been reworked into the shape of a cross. It is estimated that it used to be over 4 meters high. The menhir was probably reworked into a cross during the Christianization of the region in the 9th century. According to legend, it was the Irish wandering monk St. Willibrord from the Echternach monastery himself who carved it.
