Starting from the car park located at the end of the road you can reach the lake in about 45/50 minutes at a good pace. The effort of the climb is rewarded once you arrive at the lake, with crystal clear water.

After passing the Sandro Occhi refuge, Lake Aviolo shows itself in all its splendid beauty, with the majestic peaks of the Baitone group and its glaciers in the background. It is a truly magical and relaxing place. The trails near the lodge are flat and easy to walk, but as you get further away from the lodge, the trail becomes very rough, with rocky terrain. Running is definitely possible, but you have to be careful where you put your feet.

Lake Lovero is a small lake located along the Valtellina path, a magical place where you can take a break.

It is worth going to the lake. Do not underestimate both the ascent and the descent, to be done in the middle of the morning with the sun already high. Very bumpy path, practically a stony ground, but the show is worth every drop of sweat.
