Beautiful cycle path, almost entirely flat apart from a few short climbs between Chiavenna and the CH border (for those traveling north). Good places to eat near the lakes and from Chiavenna to Switzerland. Worth noting is the lack of shade (especially in summer) in the central part of the route.

The lake appears at the first break on the Italian side. On a sunny day, it is worth stopping on the shore to take a photo with the mountains in the background. On hot summer days, the bravest dare to bathe in its cold waters.
