With its lively promenade, Kühlungsborn Marina is a constant magnet for tourists and locals alike. Boutiques with high-quality nautical clothing, jewelry stores, and art galleries invite you to stroll. With sunglasses and a cocktail in hand, gaze into the distance from one of the numerous harbor terraces and watch the sailors and skippers on their boats and yachts. Enjoy the sunny, easygoing atmosphere and Mediterranean flair.

From the bridgehead you not only get an overview of the hotels and guesthouses in the immediate vicinity, but the view extends westwards beyond the city. To the east, the oldest German seaside resort, Heiligendamm, shines in white, and you can follow the coastline all the way to Nienhagen with the naked eye.

Great bike paths, but you should be careful. There are a lot of cyclists and pedestrians, often riding side by side in convoys. The view is fantastic, and the destination is great. Varied and entertaining!

Rerik, between the lagoon and the Baltic Sea. While searching for a vegan menu at Bistro Lene, I only found sweet potato fries and beer, but I did enjoy sitting in the shade, and the fries were really good.

The new pier was built in 1991 in the eastern part of the town. It is 240 m long and axially aligned with Strandstraße. The pier is located directly on the approximately 3.2 km long, longest German Baltic Sea beach promenade and was the first new pier to be built on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast. It is considered one of the town's landmarks and is one of a total of 189 piers in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
