Those who walk along the path near the shore will enjoy many beautiful views of the lake, but few good opportunities for swimming. Here is one of the best. A large meadow, benches, and two excellent entrances into the water. Just above the embankment, you can see a ruined building of the former Lychen pulmonary sanatorium rising above the trees. But the fully fenced-in grounds are no longer a lost place. Many of the buildings have been stylishly renovated, creating a first-class park-like property. There are exclusive apartments and even vacation apartments available for short-term rentals!

Very nice bathing spot on Lychen's second most beautiful lake. The Platkowsee tops it. Same water quality but absolutely natural.

Attention: avoid Alt-Placht on racing bikes or turn off towards Gandenitz before Alt-Placht. All other paths are not suitable for racing bikes, especially in summer when the sandy path is dry.

Unconditional recommendation for this gem of a cycle path. Gentle asphalt, beautiful nature - if at all, the two closed barriers that slow down the speed in the meantime are a nuisance, but that's really bearable.

Paved walkway / bike path that is easy to drive. Beware of the barriers across the road.
