The rest area with bathing area on the Zenssee is on the way on the Zenssee below the former Hohenlychow sanatorium. It can also be reached via the connecting path from Martin-Bachhuber-Straße.

Very nice bathing spot on Lychen's second most beautiful lake. The Platkowsee tops it. Same water quality but absolutely natural.

Those who walk along the path near the shore will enjoy many beautiful views of the lake, but few good opportunities for swimming. Here is one of the best. A large meadow, benches, and two excellent entrances into the water.
Just above the embankment, you can see a ruined building of the former Lychen pulmonary sanatorium rising above the trees. But the fully fenced-in grounds are no longer a lost place. Many of the buildings have been stylishly renovated, creating a first-class park-like property. There are exclusive apartments and even vacation apartments available for short-term rentals!
