Tucked inside the cliffs of the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the Trümmelbach Falls are unlike any other waterfall in Switzerland—or the world. These are Europe’s largest underground waterfalls, and they roar with the meltwater of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau glaciers.

Loud, powerful, impressive, and wet. Please wear sturdy shoes.

One of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain. You can observe the entry of the water into the underground tunnels, and even access the galleries via stairs and a lift. Check the opening times before you visit if you wish to explore the site.

Go up the trail towards Wengen, this is the best way to experience the beauty of this place.

Pretty little meadow path with a unique view of the Eiger north face and Männlichen. You can even see Kleine Scheidegg from here. If you pay attention to the vertical rock face (on the left when you come from the upper glacier) you will see a large white spot in the otherwise gray rock face. The “Breitlouwina Tunnel” is hidden under this white patch of rock. It enables an underground crossing of the steep rock face that lies between Pfingstegg and the former mountain restaurant "Chalet Milchbach".

Lauterbrunnen and its impressive waterfalls are worth a trip. And every now and then you can even see wing suit jumpers or base jumpers.
