Petrahiliya is an impressive mountain above Teteven. It can be reached directly from Teteven. There are marked trails here, although as of August 2025, they are not listed in Komoot. The ascent is steep, and the paths are partially blocked by fallen trees. Alternatively, the summit can also be reached from behind via the Haidushka Mogila peak.

A very short and not technical hike from the Shipka monument. Definitely worts the view.

The summit is easily accessible from Babintsi. There is a small chapel. From here you have a great view of the main Balkan ridge.

The highest peak in Serbia. You can reach it from Bulgaria or Serbia. From the Bulgarian side there are two ways to the summit. A normal path (which is pretty easy) and one that is quite strenuous and overgrown (you have to make your own way through the bushes and trees). The view from the top is sooooo beautiful. One of my favorite peaks. You can see a big part of the country to the north and south. Amazing views and panoramas. Also paths to the peak a nice there are no rocks or stones like Pirin and the highest parts of Rila. But the weather is probably the most dynamic in the country. Be prepared for a lovely day to a bad thunderstorm or heavy rain. Anyway, I totally recommend climbing the peak from all starting points. From everywhere is different and beautiful.
