Beautiful hike, has some narrow bits closer to the waterfall which might be difficult for younger hikers.

You shouldn't go to the waterfall in flip-flops. Just like in the Alps, narrow, natural paths require sensible shoes.

The Milona Gorge is a gorge, situated near the village of Agios Ioannis, in the municipally of Ierapetra in Crete. There is a 10- to 15-minute drive from the town of Ierapetra to the gorge. It has a large waterfall at the end of the walking path. The walking path is only a 20-minute walk from the road, and it is quite easy to follow. At the end of the path, you will find the 40-metre height fall of Milona. Very beautiful waterfall, the gorge was worth it for that reason alone...about an hour from the entrance to the Exo Mouliana car park and maybe about half an hour from the beach... The gorge itself...it felt like you went through the jungle once, a bit like the Plivicher lakes over wooden walkways, a bit of climbing and rocks, 1 great waterfall and 1 open gorge with lots of rock walls and at the end a small, beautiful, clear bay and the smell of herbs in between....
