This refuge offers protection from the sun and inclement weather for hikers who walk the Tagus Nature Trail. It is an ideal place to rest in the shade and enjoy the views of the Alcántara reservoir.

The hermitage is located at 1483 meters above sea level and is not only a place of veneration, but also offers beautiful panoramic views and is enabled as a refuge for hikers who pass through the area, it is very close to the well-known Ruta del Trabuquete.

Green area with tables and shade, river with natural pool and shelter. The fountain does not work, but you can purify water from the river or go to the fountain less than a kilometer away. The shelter, as of November 2021, has the door open (the lock is broken) but the city council has plans to reform it. Running water fountain, picnic area with tables and concrete floors, and a small shelter where you can take shelter in the event of a storm or to spend the night. It has no window and the door is half broken, but inside it is clean.

On hot days, hikers can relax here in the shade.
