Beautiful spring area with shelter and stamp station.

Source of the Ahlebach stream. A beautiful place to rest. The hut is very inviting. Stamp station no. 30 of the "Wilde Heimat" stamp booklet of the Solling-Vogler region is located right next to the hut.

Great view in the middle of the 555 square kilometer Solling-Vogler Nature Park. In the low mountain range, which consists primarily of red sandstone, there are around thirty mountains, eight of which are over four hundred meters high. The view from the Ebersnacken Tower is even more impressive.

The Ahlequelle with the refuge is a very beautiful spot in Solling.

The river Ahle collects its spring water in an artificial spring pond before carrying it further south. Just when it reaches the age of majority (calculated in kilometers) it is allowed to feed the sweltering water before it pours another seven kilometers later into the Weser. The Ahle is of great importance for the water balance in Südsolling, because traditionally little rain falls here, and not only in the current dry year. The source of the Ahle, on the other hand, delivers a stable amount of water, so that the little river - "Ahle" means nothing more than "small river" - forms a constant element in the local water system.
