On a round trip around Rerik you automatically come to this mountain, from which you have a very beautiful view of Rerik, the lake and the adjacent pastures.

While hiking on the coastal path from Rerik, you can quickly and easily manage a small climb to the summit of six meters ;-). If that's too steep for you, you can also go around the Kuhberg by the water.

The "Faule See" is a 0.5 m deep and approx. 46 hectare large brackish water lagoon with a muddy bottom. Horses and cattle graze on the surrounding salt marshes. Crabs and mussels have also found their habitat there. Reed beds on the banks and on small islets offer breeding grounds for a variety of bird species.
