On the northern shore of Lütjensee Lake, there is this beautiful free swimming area, accessible via the "Seeredder" street. Here, you can refresh yourself in the lake, enjoy the magnificent view of the lake, or drive in two directions from here and watch the sunset in small coves or from benches by the lake. It's actually more like dogs bathing here. I've only rarely seen people jump into the water here. And when they did, they always had their dogs with them. The Mönchsteich itself is an "insider tip" for a short walk anyway.
