Today you can hardly tell that the patrol road once ran here. The panels were removed soon after the border was opened, along with the fence. The birch trees that often grow along the edge show where the car ditch once ran. Due to the soil disturbance during the demolition of the border, the light-loving trees were able to sow here.

On the shore path, the water is always in the immediate vicinity. It goes through shady trees - but you always have the lake in view. In some places you can even swim and rest areas invite you to linger.

Important: Please do not drive the trail further than indicated here. The path becomes impassable and is intended more for the wild animals than for us cyclists. We disturb the peace and quiet of the animals here and the path is no longer intended as a hiking or cycling path!
