The lakeside cycle path between Zielow and Ludorf runs directly along the western shore of Lake Müritz and offers magnificent views of the lake. The path largely leads through open countryside with vast meadows, fields, and shady treetops. Unobstructed views of the sparkling waters of Lake Müritz open up again and again. The route is quiet, easily navigable, and ideal for nature lovers seeking relaxation with a panoramic view. In Ludorf, a detour to the Romanesque octagonal church or the small natural beach is worthwhile.

A wonderful place to relax is being created here. I'm really looking forward to the opening in a few weeks/months.

The bridge is now new and open.

Walkmühle is a residential area in the Dranse district of the city of Wittstock/Dosse and extends along the southwestern bank of the Großer Baalsee. What is certain is that a fulling mill was built on the Kleiner Baalsee in 1705 for the Wittstock cloth makers. The facility, which was converted into a grain mill in 1855, burned down in 1871 after a dust explosion and was rebuilt in 1880.

It is beautiful here for water sports enthusiasts and lovers.

Attention, the bridge over the canal in the north was removed in 2022. I've seen people carry their bikes over their heads. Approx. 1.30m deep

The Mönchteich is a 4.2 hectare lake in Röbel/Müritz. The Mönchteich is always worth a visit in both summer and winter. We were allowed to spend the night here on the Lakes Cycle Path and received a very warm welcome. We were allowed to set up the tent right on the water and in the evening we had excellent food and a delicious aperitif in the adjoining restaurant with an outdoor terrace. Our waitress was a real highlight! By addressing the guests with "Well, you mice?" or "dear" or "sweethearts" you immediately felt like you were staying with friends.
