Walkmühle is a residential area in the Dranse district of the city of Wittstock/Dosse and extends along the southwestern bank of the Großer Baalsee. What is certain is that a fulling mill was built on the Kleiner Baalsee in 1705 for the Wittstock cloth makers. The facility, which was converted into a grain mill in 1855, burned down in 1871 after a dust explosion and was rebuilt in 1880.

The proper names sometimes have a special meaning....Düsseldorf is no longer a village, but has even become a big city and hasn't changed the name either.😂😉

In the idyllic Rohrteich, which is actually a lake due to its size, it was teeming with lots of tiny tadpoles today. We haven't seen so many in one place for a long time. Hopefully as many as possible survive and grow into large frogs after the metamorphosis.

The Mönchteich is a 4.2 hectare lake in Röbel/Müritz. The Mönchteich is always worth a visit in both summer and winter.
